Missions

Many times in Jesus' ministry, He took care of a physical need before He took care of a spiritual need. On August 21, 2010, following Jesus' example, Greenfield First Baptist Church began a ministry of helping people meet some physical needs.

Forty-nine (49) people of all ages met at the church at 8:00A.M. on Saturday morning August 21st to pray and be given work assignments. Two teams were formed to go out and work. One team painted a house and the other cleaned up a yard and did work around the church. Another team gathered at the church around 10:00A.M. to prepare and deliver lunch to the teams. Work was completed around 5:00P.M. Saturday afternoon with some very tired but blessed workers. The home-owners were very appreciative of the work and blessed the hearts of all the workers with their kind words.

As always when God's people do his work, He blesses with filled hearts of Joy and Excitement. Such was the case the next day at church. Everyone was excited about what God was able to do through His people and many were asking "what's next?"

The church has plans to continue the ministry of "home repair" as God leads.
