JEFFREY McEwen, Director of Youth Ministries

Jeffrey was born November 7, 1976 in Jackson, TN to Kenneth and Joyce McEwen.  He graduated from Gibson County High School in 1995 and completed is BS degree in Organization Leadership from Union  University in 2001.  Jeffrey grew up at Grier's Chapel United Methodist Church in Dyer, TN.  His grandfather was a United Methodist preacher and his father is a Music Minister.  He was saved at First Baptist Church in Rutherford in February, 1998 and was called into Youth Ministry in 2001 at First Baptist Church in Rutherford.  At FBC in Rutherford he was ordained as a Deacon in 2002.  He served on the Mission Council and this is where his love for missions was born.  He went on numerous mission trips including a trip to Romania, Arizona, South Carolina and Florida.

Jeffrey has worked as a Loan Officer at the Farmers & Merchants Bank in Dyer since 2001.  In August, 2003 he married Ginger Davis and in September, 2003 he was called as Youth Pastor at Macedonia Baptist Church in Kenton.  Jeffrey and Ginger were on vacation in 2005 and they began to feel that God was calling them to serve elsewhere.  When they got home and after prayer they decided to take a look at the Baptist and Reflector, they saw the ad for Youth Minister at First Baptist Church in Greenfield.  After a lot of prayer, Jeffrey decided to submit his resume and see where God led.  In November, 2005 he was called as Youth Minister at our Church.

Ginger was born  December 16, 1975 to Jerry and Gladys Davis.  She graduated from Martin Westview in 1994 and completed a BS Business/Marketing degree in 1998.  Ginger grew up at Southside Baptist Church in Martin and was saved on September 11, 1991.  While at Southside she was an active member of the church choir and was the Preschool Leader.  She taught Mission Friends and directed the preschool choir.  She was also active in the Women's Ministry at Southside.  Ginger began working with youth when she married Jeffrey and has been by his side ever since.

On October 19, 2007 Myles Davis McEwen was born.

 Jeffrey and Ginger enjoy spending time with family and are excited about what God is doing at First Baptist Church in Greenfield.
